Dear Fellow All Saints Parishioner,

The Living Stones Capital Campaign team is about to break ground on its final major project. We are excited to tell you about it and to urge you to make a personal contribution towards its success. We call it the East Entrance project, and its goal is to remove the old concrete ramp and replace it with a graded landscape leading up to a roofed landing, thus transforming the east side of the sanctuary into a safe, beautiful, and welcoming entrance for all people. No one should be made to feel that they must enter All Saints through the “back door”.

This urgently needed renovation has been designed to harmonize with our beautiful building, and it is a fitting capstone project for the Living Stones campaign to conclude its seven-year history.
Construction

After reviewing four bids, the team has selected Lemieux Construction to be the General Contractor.
Lemieux Construction was the contractor for our recently completed Lower Level renovation and we are
confident in their ability and level of professionalism.

The East Entrance Project plan contains two basic elements, to be implemented in two distinct phases.

Phase I
• Remove existing ramp and raise ground elevation to meet a new concrete landing at narthex door.
• Install a paved pathway that leads down from the landing to street level.

The Vestry has given its approval for Phase-I of the project to proceed. Contract negotiations are in process, with work to begin as soon as the contract is approved and signed.

Phase II
• Construction of a roof and semi-enclosure over and around the landing. This will protect users from the elements while negotiating the door. It will accentuate the architecture of the building and the roof will resonate with the existing similar structure.

Phase-II design work is complete, but final approval by the vestry must wait for sufficient funds to become available. This is where all of us, the members of All Saints, can help! As you can see in the following simplified project budget, we must close a $20,125 shortfall. For this reason, the Living Stones Campaign team is calling upon us all to make a one-time personal, financial contribution to the East Entrance project.

With your contribution, we can bridge this ~$20K gap and bring the campaign to a resoundingly successful conclusion. Please join us in giving generously!
Throughout the next several weeks, you will be hearing from members of the Living Stones Committee.
Announcements will be made during Sunday services, members will be available during Fellowship (Coffee) Hour to answer questions and drawings and architectural plans will be available to clearly convey what the finished project will look like.
