Music for this Sunday (12/8) still has us watching, waiting, and preparing. The Parish Choir will sing a quodlibet, which is a piece that simultaneously interweaves one or more melodies. The anthem contains the Spiritual, Keep your lamps trimmed and burning, as well as a minor version of last Sunday’s hymn, Sleeper’s Wake, and finally, This little light of mine. All of the choirs have been working on music for our annual Candlelight Service of Lessons and Carols, on Sunday, December 15 at 4pm. Through narrative and song, including congregational singing, one hears the story of the birth of Jesus. We hope to see you there, all are welcome, and child care is available.
